***** Emotional, Engaging, Informational

A wonderful, heart-wrenching and insightful piece of storytelling. "Making Contact" continues to delve into very public issues with a personal and intimate approach that makes for great listening and learning. The story of what happened to Gina and her family is one of our society's hidden histories of neglect and inhumanity that needs to be heard, discussed and acted upon.

Warm and sincere interviews, an inspiring musical score and high-value sound quality make "Gina's Story" a great experience. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of series very much.

A Crisis of Care: Gina's Story (Part I)

This is the first of a three-part series, "A Crisis of Care," a look inside California's prison health care system. In this first show, "Gina's Story," we'll hear how a state-sanctioned life sentence became a state-sponsored death sentence as told by loved ones left behind.
