Modern dance choreographers talk about their craft

Designing Dance:
An arts documentary about four modern dance choreographers that looks at the creative process and how chorographers transform ideas into dance. Each choreographer?s work reflects a different cultural aspect of today?s social and political environment. The radio documentary highlights choreographers that have worked closely with the Bates Dance Festival in Lewiston, Maine. Featured choreographers are David Dorfman, Rennie Harris, Liz Lerman and Bebe Miller. Dance on radio? Sure, why not. Dance can be described, critiqued, and analyzed just as well as other art forms. The choreographers are all seasoned artists who have immersed themselves completely into dance and are at a point in their careers where they are considered to be the leading forces in contemporary dance.
