My attempt to get Marshall Matt Dillon's autograph for my Dad

GUNSMOKE was a ritual of my childhood, as it was at virtually every home in the 60s. When James Arness announced his final public appearance, I HAD to get Marshall Matt Dillon's autograph for my Dad for Father's Day. In the process, I was overwhelmed with surprising memories and emotions about family, rites of passages, and time. And yet, *some* things never change.

Review of GUNSMOKE on Father's Day

While the author speaks v-e-r-y---s-l-o-w-l-y, this is a great one to listen to, and says a lot about fathers, daughters, childhood and TV Stars. Love it.

Review of GUNSMOKE on Father's Day

Extremely well written and thought out. The piece engages the listener from the very beginning and very few folks will want to stop listening - until the piece has ended. A very terrific Father's Day piece.
