What is producing? We're not sure. At the moment, we think it's the attempt to keep audiences and ourselves from getting bored. In 2001, two die-hard fans of radio decided to join together and fill the airwaves with sounds and stories that would keep them tuned in. In the process, we've covered a lot of ground, centered on our first passion: music. But whether it's a program on rock, jazz, country, bluegrass, blues, classical, funk, punk or folk, Joyride Media focuses on the big ideas behind the music.
Someone in a conference room once called it "transformative listening." Okay, well...
Joyride Media believes in learning about the larger world, hearing stories from those who lived them, and putting music and history into context. Our trick is weaving it into a narrative flow that feels familiar. The treat is hearing music you know in a totally new way.
