Get the PRX Content You Want Delivered Directly to You

RSS, what's that?

RSS is the techno-grease that automatically brings website updates to you. Rather than making you search out the latest articles, audio, and pictures you care about, it delivers them from around the web. You can subscribe for free to feeds of things like the weather in Memphis, education news from NPR, the pictures your friends take, or the latest pieces posted to PRX. There are thousands of sites out there with feeds to choose from.

Step 1: Grab an RSS reader

RSS feeds are delivered to you through an RSS reader. There are many RSS readers availble - some are free, some you need to pay for. Free=good. We've played with these and they work:

Step 2: Select an RSS feed

Anytime you see the RSS button on PRX that means that a feed is available for that page. Most sites use a similar orange button as we do - you can click on it to get to the feed. Some of our more popular feeds:

  • New Pieces - As pieces get added to PRX they will show up in this list.
  • New Reviews - New reviews are written all the time, find out what others are saying on PRX
  • New Producers - Keep up to date on the latest producers joining PRX

Step 3: Subscribe to the RSS feed

Each reader will be slightly different but in most cases you'll copy the link to the feed and paste it into your RSS reader. It's that easy. The instructions for each reader are usually very clear.
